Hotel Hype: aloft Hotels

March 28, 2006 at 8:30 AM | 0 Comments

aloft Hotels, the cheaper spin-off of W Hotels, was announced last September and has been aggressively hyped since. Take for instance the aloft a go-go, an airstream trailer that is decked out in decor expected to be found in aloft hotels that travels around the country stopping at events like film festivals, award shows and even Fashion Week.

The first aloft hotels are expected to open in early 2007 with 500 expected worldwide by 2012. Five of those will randomly open in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

Other locations being looked at right now include San Francisco, Phoenix, Tucson, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Long Island, and suburban Chicago, Boston and Denver.

Room rates are expected to be about $150 but alas, there will be no room service offered.
