Austin's Unknown Talent?

With the South by Southwest music festival wrapping up, we checked on the hotel reviews and stories in Austin in case anything crazy happened.

We looked at the Lakeway Inn and found that a recent guest enjoyed their stay during the festival, but nothing really spectacular.

However we did find a very unusual story from a guest last fall:

As we were leaving the hotel to get to the bar, we noticed a scantily clad, tattoo covered woman standing with a man immediately outside the hotel entrance. She began to sing loudly and inappropiately as we were walking away. [In the bar, the woman,] again began to sing -- this time the National Anthem....She began to order drinks for everyone in the bar.

This was just a snippet of the craziness that happened. According to this guest, the woman left the bar only to return a few minutes later wearing a bikini and a sarong, singing again, stroking men, and ordering more rounds for everyone.

Sadly, this wasn't just a woman who likes to party a little too much. Hotel management responded to the incident, saying the woman had suffered from bipolar disorder and was asked to leave after that incident.

Personally, we think that's a little unfair. If someone wants to buy us drinks, we will certainly let them regardless of how badly they sing or what they are wearing.
