Let's Get Physical: Stay Fit at Hyatt
One of the biggest trends showing up in hotels these days are tricked out fitness centers and in-room workout amenities such as yoga mats, exercise DVDs and even cardio machine rentals.
This week we are telling you who's doing what, starting with Hyatt Hotels. The chain has come up with their blandly-named Stay Fit at Hyatt program. But despite the boring name, the program will certainly rev up your hotel stay.
Located in Hyatt's "upscale hotels", guests can expect the newest cardio machines with LCD flat-screen that will offer up TV shows as well as a way to monitor your workout. In addition, the fitness centers have resistance bands, medicine balls and stretching mat.
As we wrote about before, select Hyatt Hotels will also have a Fitness Concierge who can help you obtain any fitness gear you can't live without from running shoes to GPS watches and maps that can accompany your jogs outside.
For the yoga enthusiast, Hyatt has also introduced the YogaAway program where in-room yoga sessions can be purchased on TV. And select resorts will have a fitness instructor on hand for regularly scheduled yoga classes and private consulations.
So you shall never have an excuse for not working out ever again.
