Cool Hotel Cars
One day we found ourselves driving along Ocean in Santa Monica and at a stop light, we noticed we were behind a black Mercedes Benz CLS-class coupe with the license plates "1PICO." Immediately, we knew this had to belong to Shutters on the Beach which is located on 1 Pico Boulevard in Santa Monica and 1 Pico is the name of their restaurant.
So we got to wondering, what other hotels have cool cars for complimentary drop-offs or pick-ups?
We did some searching by plugging in keywords like "hotel cars", "Mercedes Benz", "Lexus" and "Cadillac" on TripAdvisor and this is what we found:
· Hotel Teatro in Denver has a Cadillac Escalade.
· The Sonnenalp Resort in Vail uses Lexus SUVs as does the Amangani Resort in Jackson Hotel.
· The Ritz Carlton Central Park uses a $400,000 Maybach mercedes Benz as their hotel limo.
· The Oberoi New Delhi uses new Toyota cars but with leather seats and the ever-important A/C.
As usual with these types of hotel perks, complimentary use of cars may not be for all guests. Shutters on the Beach reserves use of the Benz for guests staying in the hotel suites.
