Spoke with a constant business traveler yesterday who stayed at the The Lenox on a previous roadie, but opted otherwise on this particular trip.  Why?  Here is his answer:

Nice hotel and all, but the elevators are just too slow.  

We hear the corner rooms on the upper floors are spacious and have incredible views, but what good are they if taking the elevator up to one such room is like riding on the Green Line?

If you are in town on a romantic sojourn the speed of the elevators shouldn't bother you at all, as a matter of fact you should probably try to slow things down, however, if you are in the Hub to do a deal the sluggish lifts might drive you nuts.

    Stuffy elevators are deal breakers too

    I was in the Standard elevator the other nite on Sunset and it was so hot and stuffy, not to mention a little a scary looking. If that thing ever broke down I fear I would be out of oxygen in 20 minutes.

    Might want to move this to someplace in the Montreal hotels section

    If you work for the hotel, just say, "Hey, I work for the hotel and we are having this deal."  On the other hand if you just spotted this deal on your own, right on, but let us know that too.

    Also, I think you meant "cheap" not "cheep".

    Cheep is a faint, shrill sound like that of a young bird.
