Bed Bugs in London
[Ed. Note: When will this ever end? We now have a fresh new report of Bed bugs again invading the Pembridge Palace Hotel, which we dubbed in the past as one of the Most Disturbing Hotel Stories Ever. This new incident takes place just a few rooms away and is just as ghastly. If you have any suggestions for curing bed bug bites, let us know so we can help these poor souls out. Also don't ever go near the Pembridge.]
My wife and I stayed at the Pembridge Palace Hotel, hotel in London Mar 6-9 2006 in room 121. The second night we woke up late due to jet lag and found three tic-like looking bugs crawling around our headboard. We told hotel reception and were moved to a different room. When we woke up the next day my wife was completely covered in red itchy bites (we counted 93). The hotel said they checked the room and didn't find anything.
The bites have not gone away or gotten any better over the last week. Now that we're home I looked up the bug online and found out tthat they were bed bugs.
We're freaking out that they somehow traveled back in our luggage and will infest our house. We washed all of our clothes immediately after returning and have the rest of the luggage sitting outside, but are still completely paranoid.
Thankfully, our tipster did not send us pictures. We don't think we could handle that during breakfast.
