Good Rate: Clift Hotel

The Clift Hotel in San Francisco is an Ian Schrager property so you should know what you are getting into: celebrities, hi-brow design and decor, a cool lounge and an Asia de Cuba.

The hotel is offering a spring break deal of $195 a night that includes continental breakfast for two. The deal is only valid from April 12 to 16 but that is still an extremely good rate considering that the dowdy Sir Francis Drake has similar rates but with half the coolness of the Clift.

Also, WiFi kicks ass here.

The internet connection at the CLIFT is FANTASTIC! Normally, when I logon to my network at my office in Boston, it takes about ½ minute or so for the authentication. On the network at CLIFT, I enter my password, press enter, and BAM !! I am on instantly.
