Travel Channel's Great Hotels Host Samantha Brown, is psyched about The Inn at Little Washington.  Her enthusiasm is hard to miss when she says,

You've heard all the hype about this Inn and I must say it's not true. IT'S EVEN BETTER!

Well apparently she isn't the only one who falls in love with America's best Inn.  With a great rep and only 14 rooms, Brown says the Inn's phone (which has a melodic and soothing tone) rings off the hook. The Inn has won AAA 5 diamonds both for food and accommodation. No small feat.

The rooms were designed by London stage set designer, Joyce Evans (who did the project sans setting foot in America). And the food is equally high brow.

For DCers The Inn holds a certain mystique, one recent guest eloquently sums up the infatuation:

Dining at the Inn can be compared to enjoying Iranian caviar and a bottle of Grande Dame. Both are delicious and delectable - but also very expensive and served with ritual. They would taste the same without the expense and mother of pearl utensils and crystal - but it just would not be the same experience.

Um...ok. We just think it's funny that even in DC, hotel guest reviews are somewhat politically inclined.
