This week, we are reporting from the East Coast of Florida, where 80 percent of the people taking advantage of President's Week have landed.

First stop, is the The Colony Palm Beach, a small hotel just beyond the town's ritzy Worth Avenue (think Rodeo Drive's East Coast counterpart) and a block from the beach.

As with most hotels in Palm Beach, the rates are pricey and start at $450 a night to stay in one of the hotel's guest rooms. They also have suites and villas available for a total of 90 accomodations.

The hotel has a very Carribbean feel. Despite a teeny tiny lobby, there's the Polo restaurant which extends outside around the swimming pool. And the fun Bimini Bar serving alcohol and tropical drinks around the pool.

However, this isn't a pool that you would really go gung-ho swimming in. First of all, there are people in blue blazers and Chanel suits eating at tables around you. Second, it's sort of small.

The nightlife is a bit better with a band that plays all the greatest Motown hits every Friday night this winter, along with other entertainers. The place is also fairly well-known for hosting events, especially weddings.

Inside, the rooms are cozy, a tad small, but the king sized beds have been described as gloriously comfortable.

Unfortunately, the service is also known at the hotel and not for being good. While we thought the service poolside was slow, we just chalked it up to an off-hour on a Sunday, but apparently the slow service and some attitude extends throughout the hotel.

A recent guest also had issues with the staff when she was woken early one morning:

[W]hen garbage trucks parked in the alley that my room (226) overlooked and grinded and compacted and whatever else garbage trucks do, for a full 15 minutes. I called the front desk to complain and...her response was that guests had been staying in the room for 57 years and no one had complained yet (I'll bet) and...the Colony has no control over the Town of Palm Beach and its garbage trucks.

Honestly, we are stunned WASPy Palm Beach even has garbage trucks. Isn't everyone there supposed to be neat and clean?
