NewYorkology clues us in on the best laxative for writers' block.

If you are claiming to be a writer, and all you have so far is a Word document and a blinking curser, check into the Algonquin and use the whole damn trip as a write off.

A night with Dorothy Parker's ghost might help get the creative juices flowing, and if not at least you'll get a write off, right?

From Sunday-Thursday all you need is a "pen and a dream" to claim the one-night writers-rate. You will need some kind of proof of writing--something you are working on or have written. Hmm, those rules seem just vague enough to make things interesting.

The discount is only about $20-$40 depending on availability, (we were quoted $240 for a deluxe room), but every little bit helps.
