Vamos a La Playa: Las Brisas Casitas
Ah, Acapulco. High atop Acalpulco Bay, on 110 acres is the private Las Brisas Resort. Of the 263 casitas, 44 of which has been recently renovated casitas. These retro-style bungalows come with private pools. There's also two restaurants and three bars within the place, which is separate from all the touristy joints of Acapulco.
But just because it's isolated doesn't mean it's not fun. The place has pink and white jeeps are used to transport guests to and from the main reception, business center or gym/spa.
So if these Barbie jeeps sold you on a trip there, a recent guest offers some tips on staying at the casitas.
· Check to see if a service tip has already been tacked on to your bill (ours was)-there are alot of people waiting on you every day, tipping can get pricey.
· Rent one of the jeeps for $80/day and go into town or to La Quebrada to see the cliff divers.
· Stop at the supermarket to get bottled water, chips, cookies, etc, for your room-the hotel deli had slim pickins and was a little expensive.
