Sneaky Hotel Charges

February 13, 2006 at 2:05 PM | by | Comments (0)

We've written about sneaky hotel surcharges before and now Smart Money has gone and dissected your hotel check-out bill with a surgical scalpel.

Some of the silly charges they found?

You might pay a $100 deposit for a minibar (Hotel Chelsea in Miami Beach, Fla.), $2 a day in maid gratuity (Wyndham El San Juan Hotel in Puerto Rico), or a $5-a-night tourism fee to cover the hotel's contributions to a state fund promoting tourism (Trump Plaza Hotel in Atlantic City, N.J.)

The Donald? Overcharging guests? Say it ain't so.
