THOR Update: Annie O. opens; Lounge Gets Panned

When we last checked in on THOR the members-only lounge had just opened.

Since then, we've heard some not-so-great reviews of the place courtesy of our pals at Gridskipper. One commenter said:

It's difficult to communicate just how bad this place is. Total mobscene in a room the size of most Manhattan 1BRs. We adjourned around the corner to Local 138 and enjoyed a beer at a decibel level that did not induce searing pain.

Ouch.

Then last week, the gals at Daily Candy found an excellent way of avoiding the walk of the shame--by popping into the hotel's new Annie O. boutique.

The store provides all the regular hotel store sundries, including those that appeal to people who wake up in random hotels like Visine, toothpaste, and condoms.

But Annie O. also goes beyond those boring items to include t-shirts,handbags from Naples, scarves, french cosmetics, vases, and other little trinkets.

Leave it to THOR to turn potentially humiliating one-night stands into shopping sprees.
