Pete Doherty Wrecks Malmaison London Hotel Room Totally Sober
Just kidding. Of course Pete Doherty was on some wild drug binge when he checked into the hotel before promptly destroying his room.
Pete Doherty, one-time fiancee of Kate Moss, a serial drug abuser and the lead singer of Babyshambles, put his hotel room into shambles at the Malmaison Hotel
JUNKIE rocker Pete Doherty went bananas at a swanky hotel in an £10,000 wrecking spree. The Babyshambles frontman smashed furniture and electrical goods before leaving his £200-a-night room soaked in blood. The dirty dandy also tore down the curtains, shattered every mirror and then started a punch-up in the bar, fleeing after police were called. A source at London's Malmaison said: "The man is an animal - he left the room looking worse than a war zone."
A spokesman for the hotel said that it wasn't just this isolated room-wrecking incident that Doherty engaged in while staying at the hotel. He also caused a fight in the bar and set off the fire alarm.
Doherty, who seems like the only person on earth to consistently get arrested for drug violations without spending a day in jail, is apparently broke so who knows if he's actually going to be able to pay for the hotel damage. For some reason when the hair bands of the 80s wrecked hotel room, it seemed cool. This just seems sad.
