Britney Spears Sends K-Fed to the DoubleTree Dog House

Attention married celebrity couples going through some tough times---avoid New York.

Britney Spears and Kevin Federline are the latest celeb duo to call it quits after a recent jaunt to Manhattan. Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe ended their marriage in NYC last month.

Ok, ok, the Spears-Federline union was bound to crash and burn shortly in the near future, but we have to admit we thought Britney would think Kevin's humilating album "debut" was punishment enough. She coulda waited until Christmas. At least that's a happy time.

However, when the white-trashtic Spederline visited NYC last week, things were not well...so says InTouch Weekly. Britney holed up at the Loews Regency while Kevin was already sent packing to the DoubleTree Guest Suites in Times Square. Better get to used to that kind of living again, buddy.

It seems that K-Fed had one last chance to make it up to his sugar mama but failed:

At New York's Regency Hotel, guest Britney Spears "was in The Library restaurant, sitting at a table that had been set aside for her," says an onlooker. But as the chair opposite her remained empty, "she started crying." Insiders tell In Touch she was waiting for her husband, Kevin Federline, to arrive that November 2 night -- but he never did.

For now, Britney is still at the Regency no doubt clinging hard to her millions and millions of dollars muttering over and over to Sean P and Jayden James, "Y'all, I will kill him if he tries to like take more of my money. Y'all hear me? He ain't your daddy no more."  Meanwhile, Kevin continues his album promotion tour in Chicago where he has already moved on...to a Super 8.
