Twelve Hotel to Open in Tampa Bay

November 29, 2006 at 9:23 AM | 0 Comments

The Atlanta hotel, Twelve Hotel and Residences, sticks out in our minds because they introduced the GHOST service, which stands for Guest Hotel Operating System Terminal and which allows you to order several hotel amenities on-line from within your room.

However, after the hotel opened last February it went through some rough spots, namely with service. But we hope they have cleaned all that mess up because Twelve has announced they will be opening a new hotel in Tampa Bay to be called Twelve Arts District and will be situated in the heart of the city's art scene.

Twelve Arts District will feature suites that include separate living and sleeping areas, full-size kitchens and balconies. Design elements have floor-to-ceiling glass walls, kitchens with granite and stainless steel, and 10-foot ceilings. Hotel amenities include a fitness center, elevated amenity terrace and guest clubroom.

Yet, you will have to wait awhile for this one as construction isn't expected to start until sometime in 2008. Don't you just love hotel hype?
