We have often found much to dislike about Vikram Chatwal's Night Hotel just off Times Square. From the Big Gothic N to the dark depressing lobby and the dizzying black and white decor, we just aren't big fans.

Yet we are digging the hotel's service of giving guests five of their very own business cards/calling cards that state the guest's name, and underneath, the description: "Travelling."

It's a nice throwback to the 1950s (not like we were even alive then) and even a bit sexy and discreet. Still it has a 21st century business touch to it. As if "you never know what future client you'll meet in the hotel lift." This just goes to show hotels that you can add a nice personal service for all guests--suite or no suite--that's also probably an absurdly cheap service for hotels to provide.

Other hotels that give guests complementary business cards at check-in are the XV Beacon in Boston, The Chesterfield in Miami, Threadneedles in London, Trump International Tower in NYC, and the Hotel Marine Plaza.

And just in case you're looking for some ideas of drawings to do on the back of all your business cards, Gaping Void should give you plenty of inspiration.
