No CNN in Some Midwest Hotel Rooms

The Stoney Creek Hospitality Corp. which has small inns in the midwest like Des Moines, Peoria, IL and small cities in Missouri and Wisconsin, has made the decision to pull CNN from their hotel rooms due to a video that showed Iraqi snipers shooting at U.S. troops.

The broadcast, which aired Oct. 18 on CNN and CNN Headline News, featured portions of a tape the network said it obtained from a rebel group, Islamic Army of Iraq.

It crossed the line from journalism to propaganda, said James Thompson, president of Iowa-based Stoney Creek Hospitality Corp. ''It was shocking and repulsive,'' he said. ''Their actions supported terrorism.''

Pretty bold move for a hotel chain but Thompson says guests are in favor of the decision to pull CNN 3 to 1. Now, if only guests were in favor of pulling the chain's log bunk beds, which is part of the overall wilderness theme.

I'm qualified to tell you that this happening in Missouri doesn't shock me in the least.
