The Mandalay Bay probably would have fallen down the ranks of Las Vegas hotels had it not been for the THEhotel, the modern boutique suite only hotel tower attached to the original building. THEhotel is practically everything the Mandalay Bay isn't--cool, sleek, hip and tech-savvy. While most Vegas hotels have clunky black TVs in their rooms (except high roller suites), THEhotel has multiple flat screen TVs in each room.

However, in the regular Mandalay Bay, the room decor is lacking to say the least. We're talking floral bedspreads. Why didn't they just make THEhotel a separate entity wholly unrelated to Mandalay Bay? Also, the elevators take FOR-ever in the main hotel. Think rush-hour commuter traffic but with drunk people.

Gaudy Themed Attraction
Is anyone else turned off by the "gold" windows or is it just us?
