Viva Las Vegas Hotel Map: MGM Grand
The MGM Grand is one of the, if not the, largest hotels in the world. And it seems they are not done adding rooms. Since 2000, the hotel has opened up the West Wing, The Signature at MGM Grand and the Skylofts--all little hotels within the hotel--along with the Mansion Villas for the high-rollers.
So it's safe to say that the hotel has recovered nicely from its embarrassing opening days when in its efforts of creating an Emerald City by covering everything in green, the hotel turned off the high rollers from Asia who considered green an unlucky color.
Inside is also the MGM Grand Arena where the big-ticket concerts are usually held, a Cirque du Soleil show, some shops and lots of places to eat. But there may be such a thing as too big. The casino is the smokiest on the strip, as well as one of the most confusing to navigate.
Gaudy Themed Attraction
The Lions Habitat featuring real lions and the neighboring Rain Forest Cafe, a cheesy chain restaurant.
Cirque du Soleil's "Ka".
Joel Robuchon at the Mansion.
Who you are most likely to see gambling:
MGM is like the melting pot of Vegas. You can find high rollers, celebrities, drunk frat boys, low rollers and grannies on the slot machines.
