Suite Jesus! Ritz Carlton Palm Beach Spends 100 Grand Per Room

Life is suite when you stay at the newly renovated Ritz Carlton Palm Beach.
Scheduled to re-open on Dec. 21, 2006 after $45 million in renovations, the Ritz Carlton Palm Beach has upped the ante in luxury with nips and tucks catering to the slack jawed upper crusties who flock to the tropical playground of the rich and famous.
In addition to the cosmetic enhancements, new Oceanfront Suites will feature such necessities as invisible televisions in the master bathroom - cleverly hidden behind the mirror and only visible when turned on--seven-jet oversized showers and free-standing soaking tubs with views of the ocean.
The Ritz will offer up a WiFi network (for a fee of course) and supposedly "enhanced" cellphone reception, which we don't really believe, but apparently this hotel has had some problem with cell reception in the past so this could be an improvement.
Additionally, all regular rooms will feature so-called "pamper panels" from which to adjust lighting, temperature and, according to the press release, the ever elusive "and more." A new Tranquility swimming pool will provide oceanfront views from which to contemplate how rough one's life is.
And finally, no luxe resort is complete without a behemoth, 28,000 square foot spa, the Grand Spa, which will debut in the summer of 2007 and will feature its own Spa guest room category allowing guests to continue their treatments in the comfort of their own rooms.
If you need some more proof that these rooms live up to their hype, the completed renovation of each suite has a price tag of more than $100,000, which is more than a blogger would make in a lifetime of blogging. Think about it.
