We're digging the Crowne Promenade down undah in Melbourne. Located in the Southbank entertainment `hood, it's a top pick for being surrounded by options.

The hotel is picking up great reviews and has our slew of favorites like WiFi, plasma TVs, a sleek design, local art, plus a hip bar and restaurant. As we approach winter and they approach summer, this place sounds all the better:

The room was breathtaking, and that was before we sat on the lounge and looked out the window! The bathroom, and in particular the shower alcove, was huge; the beds were very comfortable; there was no noise from other guests or rooms; the location was fantastic as was the proximity to the Crown Casino.

Almost every review includes high praise for the staff including housekeeping who once cleaned a guest's room at 7pm upon request. Let's just hope they don't clean everyone's room at 7pm.
