Nicky Hilton's Nicky O Hotel to Open on New Years Eve in South Beach

October 25, 2006 at 3:46 PM | by juliana | 1 Comment

The Nicky Hilton hype machine goes on. We had spies in Miami telling us the Nicky O Hotel in South Beach was going to open on New Years Eve rather than "sometime in the fall" or "sometime in November." Amazingly, this has turned out to be true. For now at least.

And with the introduction of the Nicky O South Beach website, we learn more about the designer suites within her hotel, such as the Fendi Casa Suite (rendering pictured after the jump). Also designing suites for Nicky O are Heatherette, Nicole Miller and Loree Rodkin.

Other than that, there's not there's not much new information listed on this website that hasn't been detailed before (E! News Ticker, photos of her famous friends will adorn the walls, cupcakes at turndown, blah blah blah.) You can't even make a reservation on the site, but you can look into buying one of the hotel's condos. In fact, we suspect the condo sales team is behind this sub-par web design.

However, some news has trickled in about the hotel's linens. The ANICHINI linens and textiles company has signed with Nicky O hotels to create white Egypitan cotton sheets with a black satin stitched Nicky O logo and a 100 percent merino wool throw to accompany the beds. (Merino wool? In Miami?)

And according to this company's press release, Nicky O South Beach will indeed open on New Years Eve, with the Chicago location opening in February. Is this the right way for the hotel industry to start off in 2007?

Re: Nicky Hilton's Nicky O Hotel to Open on New Ye

I am confused.  Is Nicky O two buildings--one a traditional hotel and one a Cotel?
