JDV Wants You to Name Their Newest Hotel in Japantown

Like a bad memory from the late 90s when boy-bands wanted their fans to vote for their next single on TRL, JDV Hospitality wants you to decide the name of their newest hotel in San Francisco's Japantown.
What used to be known as the Best Western Miyako Inn will become a JDV signature boutique hotel in Spring 2007 after it undergoes extensive renovations and rebranding.
Part one of the rebranding is to call it a hotel, not an inn. Part two is to keep some of the original Japanese cultural influence but updating it to reflect contemporary culture like anime and street fashion.
The new Hotel (we're no longer going to call it an Inn) will take inspiration from contemporary Japanese culture, featuring the bright colors, modern embellishments and art styling found in Japanese anime, manga and street fashion. Our new name should suggest this new concept.
Entries must be submitted by October 23rd to nametheinn@jdvhospitality.com or to the hotel's lobby at 1800 Sutter Street.
Our suggestion? JDV should partner with Gwen Stefani and her Harajuku Lovers clothing line. That way they can be a boutique hotel and a fashion hotel all in one! So in that spirit, we nominate the name Super Kawaii "that means Super Cute in Japanese." (See Gwen Stefani, "Harajuku Girls.")
