In the spirit of Friday the 13th we are going to keep on posting scary hotel news that comes our way.

Copyranter has directed us to a pretty frightening ad done by Tribeca Grand recently. The obviously scary? Nuts, fruit, beetle and a woman's face on a plate. Not-so-obviously scary? The woman's eye make-up, sparse hairline and some hair on her neck, albeit blonde.

That's just our take but here's Copyranter's official analysis:

Err. Having been to the Tribeca Grand bar a couple of times (unfortunately), I gotta say, I'm not feeling this ad. I know painters sometimes put flies in their portraits to symbolize mortality. But, a beetle? I guess the critter could be representing...Shit, I haven't a clue.

To us, this looks like some sort of attempt at saying "Lookie here! The Tribeca Grand serves nuts and fruits which will help you with your skin so you can look beautiful enough to hang out here!"

But a much more appropriate ad would be scary Biff from the alternate version of 1985 in Back to the Future 2. (See the Downtown NYC Map to learn what we mean.)
