Once you've stepped inside however, you're treated to a luxurious hotel experience that rivals most expensive four-star establishments that one can only find in large cities. Our standard room was large enough for an enormous bathroom with his and hers sinks and a beautiful all-glass shower that you could fit two people in (with room to spare!). The bed was illuminated by a fireplace, which was nestled in next to our very own wet bar . Our room overlooked a bubbling creek, a view that only got better when we could see it from the steaming hot tub on our private patio.
The workout facility is large and modern, with 30 weight machines, free weights, and (only) 2 treadmills.
The hotel staff was cheery and incredibly accommodating, even running to get orange juice for us when they ran out. There was no bellman however, so make sure to pack light (or tip your significant other well). Warm robes, large closet space, complimentary muffins and pastries baked fresh from the market next door, and a full bar on our floor made for a big-city hotel experience in a cozy, intimate, small-town location. For under $200 a night, this romantic getaway is definitely a spot worth coming back to.
