Hotel Dream Job--Professional Bed Tester
"WAKE UP!" Is not what Wayne Munnelly is told when he sleeps on the job. Wayne, is Travelodge's Director of Sleep.
"There must be thousands of people who would have loved the idea of sleeping for a living," admitted Mr Munnelly.
The job involves napping on as many of company's 25,000 beds as possible. To check their comfort he examines the mattresses and pillows, room lighting and sound proofing, and he even has a bed in his office.
We here are curious to know what are Wayne's particular qualifications and how did he land this job? Does his resume list extra-sensitive sleeper under skills? Does he have an employment history of frequenting thousands of beds? Will he be a guest speaker somewhere on April 6th (National Napping Day?) But what we really want to know is, how does one start a career in hotel napping?
