THOR opens "Members Only" lounge; Jackets optional

The "Legendary THOR" recently opened their "members only" lounge at the hotel this past Tuesday.

A hotel employee gives us the full scoop:

The beautiful space has a discreet entrance adjacent to the giftshop, and was designed by Marcel Wanders. It features thousands of Swarovski crystals imbedded in the bar and banquette tables. The lounge will be open seven nights until 4 am. The cocktail list was designed by bar chef Miguel Arreda.

Club membership is given only to select individuals on a year-long basis, which probably includes Damon Dash, and Piper Perabo who attended the opening bash. But of course, hotel guests are always automatically added to The List.

If you need some visuals, Patrick McMullan has the party pics, including a shot of the Swarovski-crystal-embedded bar, which is sure to attract the likes of socialites obsessed with blinging everything they own.

Sadly, we could not confirm the existence of Swarovski-encrusted Members Only jackets that are given out upon joining.
