HotelChatter || W to Host First Ever Poker Tourney and then some at Sundance

The festival kicked off yesterday and no one is more excited than the folks from W Hotels. The W brand is previewing the hotel's upcoming Las Vegas Residences with a special lounge at Village at the Lift.

The W Las Vegas Residences Lounge will host exclusive events and activities throughout the week and offer film festival attendees an early taste of the anticipated Las Vegas project, set to open in early 2009, with residences on sale to the public in Spring 2006.
A-list celebrities and select festival guests will have an exclusive opportunity to participate in the first-ever W Las Vegas Poker Invitational.
Only 50 spots will be available in the high-profile tournament in which one lucky player will win a fully-furnished condo in the new development.

Aside from three built-in custom bars, two indoor seating areas, "floating" fireplaces, and canopied ceilings, the lounge will also host a party thrown by Amanda Scheer Demme, of the Hollywood Roosevelt fame.

The W Las Vegas is set to partner with Demme for a nightclub in the new property which will also include a including a signature W Hotel casino (the first ever), a Bliss Spa, a fitness center, and hotel and residential units.
