Finiding a Pousada in Portugal

There are more 'pousadas' in Portugal than you can shake a stick at, 40 to be exact.

In order to qualify as a Portugal pousada your property needs to have once been a castle, fortress, convent, palace, or medieval town house.

A good place to start your pousada search is the Pousada of Portugal website.  Remember, not all pousadas were created equally, so choose wisely.

One of our favorites is the Pousada de Castelo, Palmela.

Why you ask?  The views of Serra da Arrábida, a 50 minute jaunt for Lisboners, Wifi access, and a recently renovated interior.
