Toronto Film Festival Hotels

While most of the screenings will take place around Yorkville, The Drake Hotel will attract guests and gawkers even though it is in an out of the way neighborhood. The Drake is one of those rare destination hotels.

Sure, one reason festival goers will head out to the Drake is because the hotel was one of four lucky Toronto locals to nab a coveted extended-hours licences to serve alcohol and food until 4 a.m.

Another reason folks will check-in to the Drake is because of their extensive room service menu. A menu that includes vibrators, massage oils, condoms, velvet restraints and how-to videos that can be sent up to dallying guests.

Oh, yeah, and the rooms at this upscale boutique are cool as well. Here is what one Drake visitor tells us:

While the website is a little kooky and odd to navigate, the hotel itself is a gem. In a neighborhood-in-transition (i.e. it's in the process of being gentrified by artists). The hotel itself doesn't look like too much from the outside but inside the owners have put thought and care into all the different and unique design touches.

Now do you understand why some revelers will give up chasing a rooms around Yorkville and head to this "up and coming" neighborhood?
