Sometimes, even in SoBe, you want sevice over hipness. Rumor is, the Tides is such a place/ at least for the moment.

The Tides is owned by the Kor Hotel group, of west coast fame, but their east coast enclave manages to mix scene, serenity, and service.

How do they do it? Well a staff that smiles is a good start, plus they don't charge for things like Internet, robes, & towels.

Oh, and remember telescopes come standard in every room, so you can spy on beach bods by day and VMA starlets by night--that should help you swallow the rooms big price tag, shouldn't it?

A recent Tides guest validates:

I am a frequent traveler to Miami Beach and love the beaches, scene, and area, but also have a realization of the level of service here. My image of marginal service was shattered after staying at the Tides...incredible!!! Service and attentiveness of staff EQUALS and EXCEEDS that of Four Season's properties.
