We are big fans of the Raleigh.

Andre Balazs has created one of our favorite SoBe hotels. That doesn't mean there is nowhere else to stay by the beach, there are plenty of cool places. However, the solitude of the pool area, complete with fireplace, hammocks, and big giant inner tubes, help us swallow the tiny rooms with thin walls.

The assumption, and it is a big assumption, is that you are going to SoBe to taste the nightlife, but hey, this is a review of the Miami hotel scene for the Hotel MTV crowd.

A Manhattanite, who recently stayed at the Raleigh quipped:

I have stayed at the Raleigh a few times. I have also stayed at the Delano, and Sagamore, and the National. I live in Manhattan, work really hard in a Creative job, and enjoy a weekend every few months in Miami to relax. This weekend I stayed at the Raleigh again. It truly is an amazing hotel.

Oh, yeah, and if you go, look out for OJ.
