[Update: Reuters is now reporting Russell Crowe and Concierge Nestor are now settling for $100,000! Um, that is a little different than $11mm. Our favorite part of the latest chapter:
The New Yorker magazine reported that Crowe was enraged because the hotel clerk dismissed his frustration by saying "whatever" -- a dismissive put-down.
Whatever.]
Original Story August 15:
Rumor is Russell Crowe may be close to a settlement with Nestor Estrada, the Mercer concierge who he slammed in the face with a phone earlier this summer.
Allegedly, $11 million will make Estrada go away and keep Crowe out of US courts.
The lesson here? If you are a hotel employee, and you are going to take a phone to the face, make sure an A-list actor tosses the phone at you.
Seriously, in our opinion this dude deserves the cash.
[Thanks Amy!]
