Verizon wireless network has teamed up with the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino to provide "top tier music artists and interactive wireless technology to Las Vegas."

If you attend a concert at "The Joint", the hotel's venue, you can interact with the artists and share PIX and TXT messages on interactive plasma screens visible throughout the place and on channel 25 which is shown throughout the casino, pool, restaurants and hotel guest rooms.

(There is no word yet on how this happens. Are the plasma screens overloaded with text messages and pictures of people doing the naughty in elevators?)

Additionally, Verizon will offer its customers video and music content from the concerts held at The Joint like ringtones, ringback tones and streaming video.

And if you head to the Verizon/Hard Rock joint website you can enter to win a text messenging contest which will give one winner and a guest a free night's stay at the Hard Rock  plus two free tickets to a concert at The Joint.

Can you hear me now? Good. Can you hear Kip Dynamite singing, "Oh, I love technology. Technology and me!" Better.
