Since this Northeast humidity wave is still going strong, we figured why not point y'all to a place where today's forecast calls for temps of 111 degrees--and you wonder why Palm Springs offers killer summer hotel deals. Don't worry, they say it is a dry heat, whatever that means.

The Viceroy Palm Springs is a sleek boutique resort and spa in the middle of the desert. The 64 room property boasts LCD TVs, DVD players, and modern rooms, however, there is no central AC, just in-room units, which by all accounts work just fine.

During the summer months, if you try hard enough, you should be able to snag a room for right around $100 a night.

Hey Viceroy, we have a great idea for a summer promo, let guests pay by the degree. If the 4pm temperature checks in at 111 degrees, then that nights rate is $111 bucks. You don't even have to pay us for that idea, we will give it to you for free.
