Making Do with No Space at the Pickwick Arms
The Pickwick Arms in New York has decided to upgrade their small hotel rooms by outfitting them with some serious bells and whistles.
While most people in NYC want more space, the Pickwick Arms has decided to keep their tiny lodgings, using bunk beds and hallway bathrooms.
But the cramped quarters will have flat-screen televisions, iPod docking stations, and Wi-Fi-controlled minibars, in an attempt to attract young hipsters who want to see the big apple on the cheap.
Rooms with a bunk bed and a bathroom down the hall cost about $125 a night and slightly larger rooms with a regular bed and a private bathroom will go for $145 to $155 a night.
Right now, the hotel is working on 2 of the 13 floors and will continue to renovate the other floors when they can.
