Ellen and Portia Brunch at BH Hotel

It's no secret that celebrities love the Beverly Hills Hotel and adding to the list of celebs who wine and dine there are Ellen Degeneres and gal pal Portia De Rossi.

HotelChatter spotted the couple as they stopped into the famed coffee shop diner on the hotel's bottom floor for some salads.

Both were in t-shirts and pants and acting very normal, and they were nice to the staff. Yup, that's right, they gave us no dirt. They didn't under tip, put heavy demands on the staff, or destroy a room.

If you want to spy some celebrities on your own, the hotel is offering a Spring/Summer rate of $305 a night, down from the $395 regular rate.

Blackout dates apply, so call ahead, and no, they can't guarantee a celeb sighting.

As one recent British guest said of the pink property, in that unmistakably British understated way:

[It's] rather false, but amusing. Great hotel in a grand location. You feel special just pulling up the drive off Sunset Boulevard. Can it be justified paying three or four times what it would cost for an average hotel room? Probably not (unless money's no object), but if you want a splurge and want to feel special, it's a great way to do it.
