The Hyatt Hotel on the Sunset Strip in West Hollywood has long been known as the Riot Hyatt for its legendary rock-star guests who liked to ride motorcycles down the hallways and trash rooms. (Others like to call it the Rock 'n Roll Hotel)

But today, about 120 workers at the hotel put on a mini-riot of their own.

Ok, so it's just a walk-out but with riotous undertones. Don't LA hotel workers know hotel strikes are, like, so 2004?

More Post Break

The staffers were pissed about a contract dispute that has been going on for nearly a year and has affected not just the Hyatt employees but roughly 3,000 hotel employees in Southern California.

The hotel union members there voted to strike last September but haven't done it yet. Now, may be the time.

The Hyatt staffers could be joined by their colleagues from six other luxury hotels in Los Angeles within the next few days, a union spokesperson said.

The hotel must have been so deserted no one could even comment on the walk-out.

"A man who answered the phone at the Hyatt said no one was immediately available to comment on the strike."

Also, Justin Timberlake's restaurant, Chi, which is part of the hotel, may be a victim of the walk-out.
