Fairmont Introduces its own "Dust Collectors"

Fairmont Hotels & Resorts today announced they were installing self-service kiosks in its North American hotels.

The first kiosk will be rolled out at Toronto's Fairmont Royal York with other kiosks expected to follow later in the year.

Despite the negative press recently about these "dust collectors", Fairmont says their kiosks will have a unique feature: the guestroom selection feature, which is similar to the seat selection functionality offered by airline kiosks, and will let guests to visually choose a hotel room of their liking from a graphical map.

Hope the robots get it right this time.
