W LES Rumblings

Curbed hints at the possibility of a W LES:

at the community board meeting earlier this week, the space on orchard across from pomeranc's hotel/spa monstrosity, was revealed as...a W hotel.

We went right to the source and asked someone in the know what the deal was. He said of the rumor, "from time to time developers check out a site and that is how these rumors get started." He told us he would let us know if he heard anything about an LES W internally.

No, our source is not Mark Felt, but he did advise readers to "follow the money."

You can be sure we will have continued coverage on any W LES rumblings, but for now, our sources say the Lower East Side will remain W-LES.

Aw, come on, give us that one, it's Friday and all.
