Hotel Navarro
Dave Navarro and Carmen Electra modeled their home in Los Angeles to look like some of the hotels they like staying in.
"Carmen and I travel so much that a hotel has become the most comfortable environment for us," Navarro told InTouch magazine.
One of their hotel influences is the Standard in Hollywood
InTouch describes the home as "modern/contemporary style, complete with a laid-back vibe."
The master bedroom is "a calm oasis with soft fabrics and muted tones that give a touch of class to the place."
Hmm. One recent Standard Hollywood guest had this to say:
This place is a triumph of hype over substance. Cheap furniture--squeaky bed, inadequate end tables, one plastic desk chair. Too much use of plywood and formica. If i wanted a motel 6 ambience, i wouldn't stay here, i'd go to the real thing and experience the camp and irony that comes with that experience.
So which is it? Is the Navarro pad a "triumph of hype over substance," or "modern/contemporary style, complete with a laid-back vibe?"
