Chicago's Amalfi Hotel Offers Free Booze

The 215-room Amalfi Hotel in Chicago is right off Michigan Avenue and comes with complimentary Internet access, which is always key.

This is one of the newest boutique hotels in Chi-town (opened late last year), and the hotel also offers complimentary breakfast, plus a happy hour--free booze! There is no pool or restaurant on the property, however, a recent guest tells us the staff is top notch:

This hotel is great. It is not cookie cutter five star hotel, which is why I love it. There is a nice selections [sic] of books, music and magazines in the room. You really won't need them as the bed and bedding make sleeping a dream.

The service is right on too. Sometimes I forget to tip; I feel so special here. And as a repeat guest, I can say that the hotel service and services continue to surprise and impress. I spent two nights here this week. The staff were aware that I had a lot of work to do in the evenings. One night a pitcher of water was delivered to my door and the next night a full pot of coffee with real cream.
