Ski Resorts in the Summer, Part 2

June 14, 2005 at 11:23 AM | by | Comments (0)

Recently, we wrote about Squaw Valley, California and where to go when the snow melts.

Mammoth Mountain, also in Cali, is also a ski-resort-turned-summer wonderland.

The Village at Mammoth is way cool. With a small village center that has all your necessities--Starbucks, Bars and Retail Shops--it doesn't have any of the pretentiousness of Vail or Aspen.

Plus it's small and from the top of the mountain are amazing views. Hard to believe all this can be found three hours from smog-infested Los Angeles!

MammothMountain.com is offering a "Four on the Fourth" package.

Mammoth Deal Details Post Break

For $105 per person per night you get one ski lift ticket, one golf round at the Sierra Star Golf Course, one mountain bike park pass, a hiking guide and lodging at three area hotels.

These include Mammoth Mountain Inn, The Village at Mammoth or the Juniper Springs. Resort.

Don't forget to watch the fireworks in The Village on July 2, or at Crowley Lake on July 3.
