We somehow ended up in a superior room, which is a tad bigger than the coffin quarter singles usually offered, but not much. Alas, the superior room must have ruined any chance we had at the sub-$200 rate because we paid over $200 for the night.
Plenty of folks in the lobby were talking about the great rates they were able to score for their stay. We heard chatter about rates as low as $120, and getting a room at the Paramount for $165 sounded relatively common.
How do folks do this? Most people said "just look around on the web," or "this place offers great corporate discount rates." Well we are here to tell you--scoring one of these rates can be hit or miss, however, if you can get a sub-$200 rate at the Paramount, and can handle tiny rooms, we would go for it.
