The Official Star Wars Hotel: Sidi Driss

Does all this Star Wars hype have you feeling a little nostalgic? If so, and you didn't make it to the London Star Wars sextuplet showing last week, maybe it is time to plan your trip to Hotel Sidi Driss in Matmata Tunisia.
Sidi Driss not only sounds like the perfect name for some sort of Sith apprentice, but also is a 5 pit dwelling of underground labyrinths and vaulted rooms. Parts of the Star Wars set still exist in the hotel, but mostly it's just a giant Berber cave, indistinguishable from the hundreds around town - half sunken into the desert.
Both the original Star Wars and The Phantom Menace were filmed in and around the Sidi Driss hotel.
The best part? It is only $10 a night to stay for a night in the former moisture farmers home.
