Philippe Requin, who Tatler dubbed the 'Barnum of hotels', recently opened Voile d'Or in Mauritius, and this resort brings the bling--British old world style.

Four swimming pools, four bars, and three restaurants surround the properties 181 rooms.

Think old British Empire/Moorish fantasy. Plus you get to go to Mauritius, which brings its own share of fantasy cred to this vision.

The suites are huge, many with private garden and sofa-beds.
