Our guess would be that Wynn will attract a crowd that skews a bit older and more well-to-do; however, Wynn is by no means revolutionary, and comes up short in a couple areas: low end rooms and nightlife.
After experiencing a low end room, I would have to say room 5559 was just "okay." Nothing special. Furthermore, there are no real go to bars on the property, nor is there an "it" club, though Lure, the one club on the property could eventually take off.
To be fair, a huge part of Wynn is the dining experience, of which we did not partake. Next time, right?
In traditional Vegas fashion, the grounds are what make Wynn shine. The pool is outstanding, and does a great job of creating a sublime mood for Wynn pool lounge lizards.
So there you have it. We aimed to bring you the good, the bad, and the merely mediocre from Wynn Las Vegas. There has been a huge media blitz surrounding the Wynn opening, and we hope our narration will help shed some light on what a Wynn experience might be like.
As always, remember this is just one person's experience, and we encourage all of you Hotel Mavens to send us your hotel experiences and photos on Wynn, and whatever properties you may visit in Vegas and beyond.
Good night and good morning.
