Starwood Buys Le Meridien

Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. will partner up with Lehman Bros. investment bank to buy the Le Meridien chain of hotels.

Starwood would manage and brand all 135 Meridien properties but no further details have been released--like whether Le Meridien will remain an independent brand.

Their holdings now include the infamous Pitt and Jolie rendezvous spot at Parker Palm Springs.
