Wynn On Wynn: "It's Delicious"
According to the Las Vegas Sun, Steve Wynn said Tuesday that the public's reaction to his $2.7 billion Wynn Las Vegas has been better than at any property he's opened before. Er, is Steve Wynn really the best person to give us a hotel review on the Wynn?
I love seeing people in (the hotel). They love it, and they don't even know why."
On the LA Times calling Wynn's landscaping "slapdash":
"These are people that love to hate Las Vegas," he said. "We have a high-profile project, and everyone wants to say something. The L.A. Times always wants to say something bad about Las Vegas."
On 'Le Reve' the show that has received iffy reviews:
"Franco's not done with 'Le Reve' yet,"
On architectural criticism:
"This hotel is all about the experience of the guest, we decided we wanted a glass-curtain wall, and a glass-curtain-walled building tends to look (like others)."
He differentiated the clean look of the Wynn Las Vegas tower with the ornate look of some of the city's other top properties, which he called "themed fru-fru."
There you have it, Wynn on Wynn, three weeks after opening day.
